Westly B.Grueber, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics and Neuroscience, Columbia University Medical Center will be presenting.
Dr. Gruber is interested in the mechanisms that control the development of dendritic morphology and somatosensory circuit organization in Drosophila. In this talk, he will discuss his work to uncover the molecular mechanisms of dendrite positioning in the nervouse system, the possible contribution of specific sendory dendritic positioning in the nervous system, the possible contribution of specific sensory dendrite morphology to larval-stage behavior, and a molecular basis for dendritic maintenance.
