Knowledge of product safety plays a critical role in the drug development process. Toxicology studies and evaluation are required to identify potential safety risks that may arise, prior to the widespread use of drugs in humans. Course focuses on safety strategies mandated by regulatory bodies such as the FDA. Such strategies are designed to more quickly take a prospective product from the discovery stage to market approval.
