America's funniest science writer, Mary Roach has investigated the science around, sex, cadavers, the afterlife and travel to Mars-and shared her findings in humerus, captivating prose. She id the author of the New York Times best sellers Packing for Mars: The Curous Science of Life in the Void Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers, Spook: Science Takes the Afterlife, and Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex. Her newest book, Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal, takes us on a journey through the digestive system. With her characteristic intelligence and wit, Roach will discuss the medical and scientific aspects of her book with Megan Rosenbloom of the USC Norris Medical Library. In conjunction, the USC Libraries will display rare medical and science materials related to Roach's book topics.
